The core premise of The Plaster House is rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is woven into the fabric of a child’s stay from day one; aiming to maximize functional independence preoperatively, through a period of bedrest, mobilization and eventually discharge.

The therapy team at The Plaster House manages clinical rehabilitation of children following orthopaedic surgery with mobilization and exercise and following plastic surgery with splinting and scar management. The therapy team manage a club foot programme with weekly casting for children with clubfoot following the Ponseti Method.
